The August monthly medal was a day for the brave hearts and fools with persistent showers crossing the course and the temperature lower than snakes belly in a wheel rut. The course won the day with no player returning a score near par or better, the monthly medal went to Jon Ford with a hard fought out tenacoius grind of a round, nett 74. Jon credited his playing partners for the encouragement on the way round and said it was a steely determination that got him across the line in torrid playing conditions. Runner up was Jeremy Ezard with a solid winter round of 78-3-75 and next best went to Nagambie golf club hardman  Trevor Price with a nett 77.

The nearest the pins were tough to reach on the day with only 2 going off, they were John James floating one up to the 13th and Jeremy Ezard getting luck on the 16th. Next weeks golf is a sponsored event The Wyndham Accounting...

The 5th and final round of the Summer trophy was contested at the Nagambie golf club on Sunday in near perfect conditions. The Summer trophy is awarded to the most consistent golfer throughout the Summer with this years winner coming from the clouds, Trevor Price, Price produced a stunning 84-19-65 winning the days stroke event by a comfortable 3 shots. The round had it all with Price claiming three nearest the pins and hitting every second tree on the course and was still able to walk away the winner. Runner up continuing his good form of late was Shaun Bryant with a more thoughtful round of golf than usual leaving the driver in the bag for most of the day, Bryant went 81-13-68. Next best were both Jeremy Ezard and Peter Lawrence with nett 70.

As spoken about previouly the nearest the pins were T.Price on the 3rd, 8th and 13th, with W.Leviston taking out the 16th, a drive...

Darrel Baldwin makes a claim for pennant selection after carding an 90-25-65 to win Sunday's stroke event by 3 shots, the 82 year old did what the pennant side could not do, play some solid and consistant golf. Darrel has been chasing the C grade championship the last couple of seasons and this round should put him into favouritism for that event, as well as making him an attractive option for the pennant captain. Runner up went to Bill Leviston who has been a regular feature in the results of late, Bill shot 87-19-68.

The nearest the pin prizes went to Wes Boyle on the 8th and our days winner Darrel Baldwin on the 13th. The pennant team were away at the Kyabram Valley View golf club where they put in a lacklustre performance to lose 4 & 1 against Kyabram Parklands, the loss all but diminishes any hope of making it through to the final with a miracle needed in the last round...
