Social and Saturday Golf

The chicken run on Thursday the 9th saw 26 players playing a par round with 4 of those on +2 but Dave Love playing in the last group came in with +3 to be the winner. No nearest the pin was recorded. Next week will be a stroke round on the back nine. Saturday was perfect for the golf course with the rain coming down and the players quite happy to stay at home.

Wednesday the 8th saw 10 women playing a stroke and Monthly Medal round in perfect conditions. The winner of A Grade and the Monthly Medal was Ronda Richards with 96-27-69nett and the B and C Grade winner was Jenny Jeong with 107-28-79 nett. The extra 9 hole winner was Moz Fowler with 43-9-34 nett.  Balls down the line for 18 holes went to Richards, Jo Goodacre with 100-27-73 nett and Fowler with 95-18-77 nett and the 9 holes balls going to Fowler, Goodacre and Richards both with 35.5 nett. Nearest the pins went to Goodacre on the 3rd and Maureen King on the 16th. Wednesday the 15th is Stroke, Anti-Cancer and G. V. Brooch day with the 22nd Stableford.

Cold and wet conditions is what confronted Nagambie golfers on Sunday, this did not have much of a negative effect on a couple of old stagers, them being Ken Watson the days winner with a very good score of +5, and runner up Trevor Price producing another solid round of +2.
The nearest the pins were hard to get to on the day with only two of the four being won, they went to J.Henderson on the 13th and I. Richardson on the 16th.
The final round of the winter pennant season was also played on Sunday with the Nagambie division 5 side narrowly missing out on a finals berth by countback, the boys won the day 3&2. Division 6 were not up to it throughtout the entire season going down 4&1 with no chance of making the finals. Next weeks golf will be the 4th round of the social...

There was another good turn out of players at Nagambie golf club on Sunday with the numbers throughtout the winter thus far being very consistant, with cool temperatures but a little bit of sunshine conditions were perfect for golf. It was a stroke monthly medal on offer and the days winner was Lindsay Hall from the final group to complete the course, with 83-13-70, to pip long time club house leader Alby Seenan by one with a 90-19-71. Next best were a quartet of players finishing with nett 73, Mark Gale, Bill Leviston, Daniel Hall, and Trevor 'oh so close again' Redfern.
 
 
The nearest the pin prizes went to the club on the 3rd, D.Hall on the 8th, P.Smyth on the 13th, and Trevor 'not to sure how he got it there' Redfern on 16. The Nagambie pennant sides division...
