The Finnigan fourball at Nagambie always produces great golf and controversy and that was certainly the case on Sunday. A +10 was the leading score after round one, so an excellent second round was needed to claim the win, and that excellent second round score after years of trying was Doug Pocknee and John Boruch with a +10, to win with a two week total of +19. The regular pairing combined brilliantly to share the scoring and were very happy to get their names on the most prestigious honour board in the clubhouse. Runners up for the second year in succession went to Gary Bow and Mark Waldon with +16, both vowing to come back next year in the hope of going one better. Third place went to controvesial pair Wes Boyle and Mark Gale after a minor score error cost them a hole in the first round, but the boys battled on to finish with a +16 for the two rounds.
