The Chicken Run on Australia Day was won by John Bond with +3, there were no nearest the pin winners and a good field of 36 played.  2 February will be a stroke round on the front nine.

Wednesday 25 January saw 12 players for a Par round, the winner of A Grade for the 3rd week in a row was Moz Fowler with +6 and she also won the extra 9 hole competition, B and C grade winner was Ronda Richards with +4. Balls down the line for the 18 comp were Moz, Ronda and Jane Bow and the 9 hole balls went to Moz, Ronda and Andrea Richards. Wednesday 1 Feb is a stroke round with 8 Feb a 4BBB Stroke round. The course continues to improve with the work of Dad’s Army together with the rain and sunshine.

The first monthly medal for 2017 was hotly contested with 21 player taking to the course, with a couple of good drops of summer rain hitting the course throughout the week, the greens were in great shape for the time of year. The winner went to 'Barman Bill' smashing the field by 6 shots, Bill Leviston put together an impressive 85-20-65, beating the 'boutique catcher' Shane McCornick who had 85-14-71, next best went to Ken Watson with 87-16-21.


The nearest the pins went to M.Gale on the 3rd A.Lodding on the 8th, T.Redfern placing it onto the 13th and J.Lodding most liking doing the same on the 16th. Drive and pitches were awarded on the 1st and 10th with L.Hall claiming the 10th and J.Mills the 10th , note to all; both missed birdie putt. The second round of summer pennant was hosted by the Nagambie golf club on Sunday with the home team only managing a tie 2 1/2 to 2 1/2 a disappointing...

Mens Competition November 13


Tough conditions presented at the Nagambie golf club with wind and rain hitting the course for the first of the new seasons monthly medals, with 74 nett the best score carded the course got the better of the Nagambie golfers. The winner on the day went to Tim Baldwin who has been a regular winner throughout the year shooting 83-9-74, this win should also send a message to pennant selectors he is ready for a call up. Missing out on the win losing on count-back was Jeremy Ezard with 75-1-74 followed by Jeff Mills also firing 92-18-74.

The nearest the pins went to Dean Brown landing on the 13th and Jeremy Ezard scurrying one up to the16th. Next weeks golf will be a par event with B.Cryer on office duty and J.Lodding in the bar.
